Dominion Command is the national headquarters and is chiefly responsible for all national advocacy, Veteran representation and assistance, national program development and administrative oversight of the organization. On a national level, the Dominion President and the Senior Elected Officers, who are elected by the membership at Dominion Conventions, discuss issues and determine national positions. The Dominion Executive Council made up of elected Senior Elected Officers and Provincial Presidents from each of the Provincial Commands, also provides direction on the Legion’s Dominion committees and activities. 

The Royal Canadian Legion/BC Yukon Command is a non-profit organization consisting of 147 Branches, 67 Ladies' Auxiliaries and nearly 44,000 members. We are one of the foremost and most respected community service organizations in Canada, serving veterans, ex-service personnel, seniors, youth and many aspects of community life. 

Since 1928, Legion Magazine has honoured those Canadians who have served their country by publishing in print short death notices for Royal Canadian Legion members with military backgrounds, Canadian war veterans and Legion members with police service.  

 Malignant mesothelioma is a rare but serious cancer of the lining of the lungs or abdomen. It is most commonly caused by exposure to asbestos.
